The most livable city in North America!
With mountains serenely lining the ocean and floating cherry blossom petals lending the whole city a cinematic appearance, Vancouver
is easy to fall in love with. But the city is not just beautiful, it has also been ranked the most livable city in North America for quality
of life – again!
According to the survey conducted by Mercer, Vancouver maintains its position as the fifth most livable city in the world, with Vienna, Zurich, Auckland, and Munich taking the lead. The survey looks at factors such as personal freedom, crime, political stability, air quality, and climate.
Although the majority of rankings were held by cities in Western Europe, there were more Canadian cities in the top 35 than those in the U.S. Toronto ranked 15, Ottawa ranked 18, Montreal ranked 24, and Calgary ranked 33.
